It should come as no surprise how I feel about Saturday's happenings, so I won't bother any of you by commenting further. Except to say I bloody well told you so.
I wish I'd spoken Greek the other day. It might have been a good learning experience and a good way to get ready for my little trip.
Now, who wants me to sign them up for Miss Match? Thalia? Yes? Good. Because I'm about to do so.

As Ron mentioned, we (the rest of the force) have been taking on some more hours so he can be free to get ready for his wedding, which I thought would work out wonderfully for me, considering I'll be taking time off in a few months and by working overtime now, I'm making up for it already! I was looking forward to it, even, because up until a few days ago, the Lane had been rather quiet.
But then, those bloody protesters just had to act out again. When will they give up? Hopefully soon. One would think that with all of the arrests we've made, they'd get the hint. Unfortunately, they seem a bit dim.
Then, the other night, I was relaxing with a good book (never mind that I was on call) and a cup of tea when who decided to cause a fuss at the Angry Dragon? (Which is a place I try to avoid at all costs.) Two of our darling Quidditch players. Or should I say brutes? Honestly, can't you work out whatever problems you have without beating each other's faces in and getting blood on my robes? But apparently that's too much to ask for some men. I thought we'd be a bit more civilised by now.
And of course, we can't forget that boggart, but I don't particularly want to talk about

Harry's Teen Witch's "most coveted bachelor" ... again? Surely there must be another bachelor out there It sounds as though they're ignoring the fact that he's in a relationship, and while he's not married, perhaps it's time to put some actual, completely unattached and single bachelors in contention for "most coveted bachelor". Personally, I'd much rather read about men who are actually available than read about Harry's private life and a deep analysis of his relationships.
Please don't ask why I'm reading Teen Witch.
I really hope that boggart stays far away from our flat. I'm not sure what I'd see now but I don't want to find out.

Oh my goodness.
Is this really happening? He's really going to die for what he's done?
I don't think I've ever been so shocked and so relieved and so happy all at the same time. It's truly over now. Or it will be in August. I feel like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders.
Now what?
I do believe this calls for a celebration. Cheers! The monster's going to burn in hell, finally.

So it's settled: Greece, end of September. I managed to convince my boss to give me time off (with promises that if there's an emergency, I'll come right home, which will likely catch me just as I'm heading off to somewhere fabulous with a charming tour guide). The end of September is not tourist season, thankfully! Which means everything's cheaper and not as busy! I am so so excited now. I'm a little surprised that I was able to pull this all together so quickly, but I also just remembered to mention it. If I could have gone this month, I would have, and I'm too impatient to wait until next year. Perhaps if I like it, I'll go back next year... and take my darling sister with me! Though I admit, it will be terribly nice to get away all by myself
The New Moon is re-opening tomorrow night. Who wants to go with me?

I wish I had gotten something fun in the post yesterday. Aside from a few letters (which I didn't open, of course!) and copies of Witch Weekly (which I already get, so it wasn't that exciting). I could use a new pair of shoes. I was eying a pair of red patent leather heels the other day, but I didn't have an outfit to wear them with. Quite a dilemma.
Just less than two weeks until Greyback's trial. Then I can sleep easy again and then I'll actually start planning a holiday. With one of our hit wizards out of commission now, it's been busier around the office. And I'm still not fetching as much coffee as I used to. I think they're finally taking me seriously. Or at least more so than they used to! Finally.

If I wanted to take a holiday somewhere, where would I go? I'm thinking... somewhere warm. Perhaps with some incredibly attractive, charming, half-naked men lovely beaches? And good shopping? I'm up for suggestions! It's just a thought at the moment. I would have to plan it, and it's not as though I could get time off immediately. It's been a terribly long spring, and Merlin knows I could use a holiday as a present to myself.
Any thoughts? Recommendations?
Oh, and Miles? I still have your cloak. I hope you haven't missed it too badly.

I didn't have to fetch coffee for anyone today. It's amazing, and rather disgusting, now that I think about it, how women are rarely taken seriously at the Ministry. When I'm me, I do paperwork and fetch coffee. Of course, they have given me more respect lately. They have to, after all that happened with Greyback. Unfortunately, that still doesn't mean I'm taken as seriously as I would like.
However, as a man? Everything was different.
I wouldn't want to be a man forever, though. Men's clothing is not nearly as exciting to shop for.

Oh, seriously, don't these people have anything better to do than write fanmail to a murderer like I've been hearing is happening? These have to be rumours, no one in their right mind would do that. But it doesn't sound like just a rumour.
They disgust me. Being bitten by him - or any other werewolf, for that matter - not a joke and it is not something to be taken lightly. How dare they act like it's just something they can toss around when they want attention! My brother was killed by him! My brother was killed, and nothing was ever the same at home. It affected my entire family, and these people are treating it like some sort of a fun little activity to do while waiting for the laundry to dry. Yes, what fun! Let's pretend we've been bitten just to get attention! Or better yet, let's try to reform him. Yes, he's just so charming in person. Really. A true gentleman.
But of course, if they were actually victims, they wouldn't be showering him with affection. Disgusting.
